Inspirations from Dustin Shindo

Welcome to JoWii's World,my very first publication! (That's me on the far right) I have never blogged before, but I have a purpose to help spark innovation. I am not a great writer, in fact, I am a horrible one. Don't come to this site expecting formal writing, proper english and no gRamMatiCAl mistakes because I honestly don't know any better. For the people who can suffer through it, I simply just want to post things that will hopefully give you things to think about. I have been very fortunate in the people I have met and the lessons I have learned. These people have helped shaped my perspective of the world in which I want to share with you all.My blog will consist of inspirations, books, videos, photos or anything that just catches my eye.

A little bit about myself, I grew up in Seattle and now I am a student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I started an organization on campus called the Entrepreneurs Club. Our driving purpose, "Entrepreneurial Empowerment." I could talk for hours about my movement, but thats what our clubs website is for, but m

Yesterday, my organization hosted a forum featuring a man named Dustin Shindo. For all you business people, he is someone you should inspire to be like. He is a serial entrepreneur, started his first company when he was 21 (which so happened to be a brewing company), after that started 3 others and now is the current CEO/Founder of one of the nations top clean energy companies which is publicly traded, Hoku Scientific. Oh and did I mention, he is still only in his mid 30's?

Mr. Shindo gave an amazing presentation outlining his 7 steps to success.

1. Check your ego at the door
2. Access my list of top investors ( his were... Visa and Mastercard! haha)
3. Build a winning team
4. Be ready to pay the price, nothing replaces hard work
5. Be flexible with your strategy but inflexible with your operations
6. Attitude and approach makes all the difference
7. The 3 P's
-Passion
-Performance
-Persistence

One of my favorite quotes from him, "If you're going to do it, do it well."
