AirPiano

Another innovative piece of technology! This one is called the AirPiano and is an new innovative musical interface which allows playing and controlling software instruments simply by moving your hands in the air. "Above the AirPiano is a virtual matrix of keys and faders, each assigned with MIDI messages and ready to be triggered. The length of a triggered note is equivalent to the time a hand is placed on the corresponding virtual key. This is also confirmed by LED feedback. The AirPiano Software allows easy setup, loading/saving presets and transposing notes.

Microsoft's vision in health care

This is a vision Microsoft has on how they can innovate on the health care industry. They want to utilize technologies such as projectors and the Microsoft Surface to improve on peoples daily lives. For example, in the video they showed a glimpse of a "Digital Wallet" which would be one device that would be able to access all cards you would normally have in your wallet ( credit cards, ID, Insurance,etc). This device would be activated by thumbprint security. Another example was using the "Surface" table top, that could be set up to do such things like prescription reminders (This was shown by the green color change surrounding the prescription bottles).

Slumdog Millionaire

I recently just saw one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It would probably be a great detriment to try to analyze and blog about this great movie, so instead of me writing, just watch the trailer.

But my 2 cents about this movie... Go watch it! It is a great story that has a little bit of everything in it (good, bad, love, hate, happy, sad)... I should stop. I am a horrible writer. Forget everything I have said except: GO WATCH SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

Super Bowl Ads...

It costs millions of dollars to post a commercial during the superbowl. Some were long and dramatic, others were short and precise. The two that I have posted here were the only ones that I really remembered simply because it wasn't just an advertisement, but both had the audience take some type of action. The Denny's commercial announced a big campaign of giving out FREE GRAND SLAMS! Now if that doesn't draw millions of people to go to Denny's, I don't know what will. People are in love with that magical word, and when they showed that in their commercial, I can guarantee people remembered Denny's and will talk about it. I am... haha

The second video is Jack in the Box's, "Hang in there Jack" campaign. Jack in the box have done such a great job of utilizing "Jack" as THE figure of their marketing. They have built "Jack" to be such a comical figure that people can relate to, and after he got hit by a bus, it was shocking. I was with a group of 15 people that literally screamed when he got hit by a bus. Jack in the Box created such a great cliff hanger by ending the commercial with just a website address. It made the audience curious and take action to go to a place Jack in the Box wanted you to go. I thought it was pure genius.

My final thought, be remarkable, memorable and have people take action with you.

eco-nightclub

I actually read about this a while ago from Guy Kawasaki's blog, but I wanted to share it with you all. A night club in Britain has started the first "Eco-Nightclub." "[They] will require the patrons to dance on a modified dance floor that will harness the energy expelled by the clubber's moves and convert it to electricity. This place is so Green-Oriented; they even plan on using a recycled water system to flush their lavatories. The club will also serve organic spirits served in polycarbon cups." (Greenlaunches.com)

Just imagine if more places used this type of technology...
